Accountant - Economist

Functions:

  1. Collect, interpret, review, and analyze financial data from operational reports.

  2. Perform accurate and timely postings in 1C accounting software

  3. Review, monitor, and manage settlements on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  4. Act as a part of the 4-eyes control process to ensure proper internal checks and balances.

  5. Prepare financial reports, including those related to budgets, client payments, expenses, and other key metrics.

  6. Assist in the preparation of reports for external stakeholders such as regulatory authorities and auditors.

  7. Ensure ongoing compliance with internal accounting policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

  8. Actively participate in the development and maintenance of the accounting policy for APS, in line with the standards of regulatory bodies (AIFC, NBRK).

  9. Provide ad-hoc support to the CFO on financial and accounting-related matters as needed.

Required Education and Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.

  • Advanced qualifications such as a Master’s degree, CPA, ACCA, or CFA are considered a strong advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in accounting and financial analysis.

  • Experience working with IFRS and/or within international companies is a strong advantage.

  • Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining a standard set of financial reports.

  • Good understanding of regulatory frameworks, particularly AIFC and NBRK, is a plus.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

  • Team-oriented with demonstrated initiative and leadership qualities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; experience with 1C is essential.

Language Requirements:

English: Intermediate level minimum; advanced proficiency preferred (spoken and written).
